MY A/C IS TRIPPIN' (the breaker)!

A circuit breaker is a safety switch that protects your home's appliances and devices from damage by shutting off the flow of electricity to an overloaded circuit. Unfortunately, sometimes that circuit is for your air conditioner.

If your a/c is trippin' the breaker repeatedly, this is not a situation you should ignore.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Sometimes something like a lightning strike nearby can cause a one-time power surge that trips the breaker, and everything will be fine once you turn it back on. But, if it trips again, you likely have a problem that needs to be diagnosed and repaired by a professional. DO NOT risk your investment by continuously resetting the breaker. We can't stress this enough. The best thing you can do to remain comfortable and avoid a more costly repair is to call the professionals at Helms Heating & Air as soon as possible to identify and repair the issue.

WHY DOES MY AIR CONDITIONER TRIP THE BREAKER?
